Bafana Bafana wrapped up their double-header v Congo with a 1-1 draw in Brazzaville. The result leaves them on the brink of qualification, with two games still to play. Below are five stats from the two games Bafana played this past week and their impressive campaign so far.

100 – Elias Mokwana’s opener was the 100th goal scored by Bafana Bafana in AFCON qualifiers, coming in the 68th such game. Milestone.

11 – Bafana Bafana have now scored 11 goals in qualifying for #AFCON2025, equalling their best ever total in an AFCON qualifying campaign, with two games to play (11 also towards AFCON2019).

8 – Bafana Bafana have scored at least once in all eight AFCON qualifiers under Hugo Broos. This is the team’s longest run of scoring in AFCON qualifiers, eclipsing a 7-game streak between 1999 & 2001 that included a Helman Mkhalele brace.

7 – Seven different players have scored for Bafana Bafana in the #AFCON2025Q qualifiers. Only once before (9 in the 2002 qualifiers) have more players scored for the side in an AFCON qualifying campaign.

8 – teams that have qualified for AFCON 2025 so far: Morocco (hosts), Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Algeria, DR Congo, Senegal, Egypt, and Angola.
